I personally think that it looks great when you are walking towards your car and you unlock it from a good distance and your fogs turn on and you can clearly see you car :D looks very sexy :D Can it be done? Can this be done easily?

your car can mod to do that too, it is call dome supervision, the wire is RED/WHITE (negative), located in a 7 pin plug on the top right side of the fuse box under the driver side dash.

everytime i unlock the door, my dome light turn on for 30 seconds or until i get in the car and start the engine, or until i lock the car again. mine is tight into the aftermarket alarm.

So it won't overload the circuit/burn the wiring if one were to do that? Because I'd like that feature too; that and perhaps probably have it simultaneously light the front map light too. The only thing I'll say I like about American cars is that the dome light is VERY bright... When I first saw my friend's Taurus' interior light I was almost in awe; but still better than the joke of a lighting system that I saw in an '89 Toyota 4X4 though... The person that owns it keeps a Mag-Lite in the ashtray.

i have no idea about the stock alarm.

but for aftermarket alarm
it has the dome supervision feature
such as the one here
http://www.commandocaralarms.com/itemde ... uctID=1465

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... 19742&rd=1

and all you need to do is look up the dome supervision wire to the car vehicle, and the alarm does the rest.

for me, i don't think it will burn or overload the system, because it is just a relay switch that turn on the dome light. it doesn't draw a lot of current from the existing dome light circuit.

Im pretty sure that it can also be done to OEM lights esp. 2002+ because they already come factory w/the dome light supervision.. well on the -02 camry anyways. Just bring it to an audio shop, i had mines done for $40.

I DID IT!!!!
got a good news... and a bad news....
which comes first? GOOD NEWS :
i got the fogs to light up wen i press the lock/unlock and it shuts off automatically ... SWEEEET
BAD NEWS:
i wired the grounding wire for the fogs to a varible ground (from the door sensor relay), this is also hooked up to my entry lights... However, my entry lights dim off instead of shutting off instantly... this happens to the foglights too. its only like 2 seconds, but this makes the fog light relay to buzz for that 2 seconds.
notice how it clicks whenever you turn on your foglights ? its the same clicking sound, but instead, it buzzes because it clicks so fast!

SO, from the outside, its sweet looking and sexy wen u lock or unlock your car, your foglights light up for 30sec and dims off automatically.
but from the inside, whenever the foglights dims off, theres the 2 seconds buzzing sound.

in addition, i've added a switch which connects a constant ground to the varible ground. this lets me turn on my entry lights and my foglights manually. if theres no switch, then i can't turn on my fogs at all while driving.

I WILL POST VIDEOS TONIGHT. and if there's people who are interested, i'll post up a tutorial
