New black headlights = blown fuse.
Just thought I would warn you guys that I bought some of those Jap style black headlights on Ebay and had them installed in my wife's gen 1 Solara when we had the car painted. After driving it for a couple of days, a guy told me on the road that I had no tail lights. I had already noticed that the lights stopped blinking when I hit the door lock on the key fob, and was wondering what the guys at the paint shop did.
Anyway, I finally tracked it down. The new corner lights came with the wrong bulbs. They drew more current and popped the fuse immediately. I swapped the old bulbs in and everything is A OK. It took me a while to track this down because my first thought was that the new headlights had caused the problem, so I removed the headlight relay to remove them from the equation, but still blew fuses. It turns out that the front corner lights are on the tail light circuit. Go figure.
Thought I would pass it on if anyone has the same problem.
