Fuel pump upgrade....

Postby DatSRBoi » Sun Sep 09, 2007 3:05 pm

Just to let everyone know. You ARE capable of running a MKIV supra fuel pump :)

Reason I say so is supras use the same walbro fuel pump as the solara and the supra MKIII are capable of running the MKIV pump. SO I am guessing the solara should be able to take on the MKIV pump which are 200% more dependable then the walbro in higher RPM, Longivity, and are more powerful. Plus If I am right the harness on the MKIV pump will not need modifying other then the bracket that you need to hold it in because its alittle longer just like the walbro which you can buy from walbro for cheap.

When mine (IF it ever comes in because of dumb USPS) I will let you know.

I don't want to go spending more to find out it's something else....like a bad or just over-sensitive knock sensor, I'm thinking about relocating. I've never got the knock code, but it doesn't mean my cpu couldn't be pulling timing and not show up. I even did the knock sensor mod too.

Are u cali spec? or federal? like....how are ur headers? pics?
