Rattles

For some reason, my sun visor on the passenger side rattles when its down, but doesnt when its up. Has this happened to anyone? I'm thinking about taking it to the dealer for a warranty replacement. My pillars are also extremely loose and rattles, so I think I am going to get those replaced as well.

the rattle you're probably hearing is the mirror starting to separate from the visor...it is very common on our camrys and solaras.

find a junkyard and pickup some visors in decent shape. should cure the problem.

I have the exact same problem in my 06. The passenger side rattles very loud when its down. However, I noticed that it does not rattle when in the up position, like you said, or if its pushed as far as it will go towards the windshield. I looked at it and see nothing visibly wrong and I don't see the mirror separating.


UPDATE: I just spent some time looking at my visors again. I believe it is the flip covers for mirror rattling on the visor. It seems like it could use a couple of those little rubber feet on the cover piece.
