just bought this 2000 I-4 Solara last month.

1. engine light went off ( P0240) the shop said its cat covertor is bad. Could it be something else besides the cat convertor? like O2 Sensor or Air-fuel sensor? any suggestion ?

2. driver side window motor is dead and i can't close the window now! :x

a new window motor doesn't cost 200$ go to your local car part store like auto zone and buy one there under 100$

ok, thanks all.

window motor is easy to replace.

but my 1st problem, CEL P0240 is a headache. Could be the cat convertor or O2 sensor that I need to spend some time to solve it. Hope it won't end up wasting money buy the wrong parts.

i had that same window problem 3 weeks ago...
for solara v6 99, there was no where to find it online, so i had to go to Toyota dealer and order it from ontario (150$)

just make sure that you can hear the motor running when you press the window button, if you can hear it, stop playing with it and order a window regulator without the motor. If you cant hear the motor then the bill will go up

Postby dc3886 » Fri Aug 31, 2007 10:06 am

I had the same window problem on my driver side window, it was a bad switch. It was a pretty easy fix.
