I got the previous owner to send me all the work that was done on my 00. On the last work order it said that they (dealer) recommends changing the rs bushings at $117.62. I'm assuming that the bushings themselves don't cost a whole lot. How hard are they to replace and what's involved?

It's an easy job and shouldn't take more that a hour. Just don't break any bolts, and you'll be ok.
Let's just pretend I didn't grow up, or you're going to be terribly disappointed.

^ what he said

if there is rust, it's worth it to take to a shop to do where they have a torch

it's really not worth breaking a bolt, since it'll then cost more to remove than if you had just taken the installation there in the first place

breaking bolts?

Postby Sentinel » Mon Aug 20, 2007 2:34 pm

I don't know what these guys are talking about breaking bolts. It's not like this thing is on the exhaust or anything. Just put a quality wrench on it and turn it the right way.

I have had to re-tap a couple of mine. Little tiny bolts + midwest road salt = bad things.
