O2 Sensor

O2 Sensor

Postby Chinky420 » Wed Aug 15, 2007 12:45 pm

this is for anyone who has thrown a P0135 (bank 1 sensor 1) oxygen sensor malfunction code.

i tried to find where this was myself, but could not find where the sensor plugs into the exhaust.

so far, what i know is that the bank 1 sensor 1 is located on the rear bank (near the firewall), and that it screws out.

i also know that there are three sensors, one for the front bank (bank2), one for the rear bank (bank1), and one downstream of the catlytic converter.

I STILL HAVE NO IDEA WHERE THE B1S1 SENSOR IS though!

i jacked up my front end and slid under the engine bay, but i couldnt find it. i checked from above the engine, cut still could not find it. i checked the haynes manual and couldn't find it there either (maybe i'm looking in the wrong sections). and i did a search here, and scrolled through the tutorial section, and couldn't find anything that would help me.

please, any help locating this sensor so that i can replace it would be appreciated.

Its the rear header, the o2 sensor is ontop, the EGR is the fitting u see on the bottom.
