In order to do the SE sport strut swap, is there anything special I need to know?

you can switch out the rubber stoppers and use new ones but thats about it. its just a direct swap. i have the eibach pro kit lowering springs with se sport struts and its not so bad. im already in the high mileage on my car so i will soon within an yr or so get coilovers

Depends on your aftermarket wheels - offset issues.

I had to use a camber kit (bolts) because I had such a low offset on my G35 rims. If you don't have an offset issue then don't worry about it unless you're rubbing the back fender wells.

^^I dont want to ruin my tires. I have the OEM wheels and tires. I don't want a lot of negative camber.

how bad is the camber on the TRD or eibach drop?

no need for a camber kit. i have a 38 offset with my wheels and i wanted some meat on my tires so i do rub sometimes but i will be getting my fenders rolled soon. you'll be on stock 17's so you'll be fine

^^I think you are mis-understanding me.

Whenever you lower a car, the camber goes outward, or negative. (Unless its leaf springs, etc...)

Camber, wears the inside of the tires before it wears the outside. I don't want that.

Is camber a problem on this car, or does it not change much?

cool.

Has anyone ever tried these:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... %26fvi%3D1

They are some coilovers. I am sure these are going to have the worst ride quality between the TRD and the eibach, but they are also adjustable, which is a HUGE plus for me.

I know that this may not be the same for a gen 1, but I would like to put new struts/shocks in my SLE and I was thinking of just doing the whole setup TRD. New everything, is there any thing I should watch out for or anything I can't do? I'm new to this whole thing so please forgive me if I'm not making any sense.

Again - if you're running stock, you won't have camber issues or even rubbing issues. Just dump that bitch already!!

Hard to say - but any time someone post ads like this that are for "03-07" Solaras obviously doesn't know anything about our cars. I sent a message to the seller asking more about them. Seems awfully cheap to me - you might just be getting what you pay for here - be careful! ;)

thanks. I'll probably just skip on these.

After seeing a Gen2 lowered on teins, I realized I cannot be that low. The Eibach drop might even be too much for me. I am gonna search some pictures to see if I can find some good side shots of a Gen2 on TRD springs.
