recommendations for a new owner?

Hey all, new owner here of a 2004 SLE V6..

I want to upgrade performance, mainly with engine and suspension upgrades. I also have this (unusual) desire to make these upgrades but make them almost unnoticeable (other than opening the hood).

I've heard something like exhaust systems > headers/intake > s/c I don't know much if anything about suspension, but I imagined that an investment in major power would almost require better suspension (?).

Where should I start? Or, perhaps an upgrade path that seems as reasonable?

Any comments appreciated!

Factory lip kit, drop, 18s inch rims, good system, intake and TRD muffler and your set. Its a luxury car that not many people can get into. Enjoy it and be different amoung your friends. Youll love it.

Like he said above, unfortunately no s/c for your car but there are headers. If you do any suspension, I'd recommend TRD rear sway bar and TEIN coilovers (pricey but definately worth it).

JPP hearders

All aftermarket for Gen 2

For the suspension I would go for Tein...but may you ask JIC Magic if their VIP line will come someday with Solara V6 Gen 2 ? It's double of Tein but seem way better quality even if Tein is very good. I have TRD spring with SE Sport strut...I wish I had Eibach spring...but I've to ride in snow during winter...and Tein are not ajustable enough for my needs...

Thanks for the replies folks!

I'll definately look into it. What kind of HP increases are you guys seeing with headers and exhaust systems in place?

And i hear the TRD sway bar upgrades are done real quick..

Yes - TRD bolt-ons are a must and only take minutes to do.

No test numbers on the JPP headers yet - my fault for not being more available for testing this past month as I've been out of town on business, but will try to get it in this next week or so.
