michman...
you do not have to remove the throttle body to clean it. what you want to do if you want it cleaned with minimal taking-apart of your car, is to just remove the air intake duct (the black, ridged tubing going from your air filter box to your throttle body), then use throttle body cleaner (from autozone, or where ever) and a toothbrush and rag. it will be somewhat of a tight fit if you have your stock airbox, but it'll probably be just as difficult to clean like that, as it would be to take off the entire throttle body and clean separately.
once you're able to see the butterfly valve inside the throttle body (the part that opens in conjunction with the throttle cable being pulled), then clean that part, and whatever you can reach behind it (up into the intake manifold). if it hasnt ever been cleaned before, you'll see a bunch of black grime coming off with the spraying and scrubbing.
after it has been satisfactorily cleaned, re-attach the intake, and start up the car. like mentioned before, the startup may be a little rough, but it's probably just excess cleaner and grime being burned off (dont be alarmed if a white smoke temporarily comes out of the tailpipe when starting).
hope that helps
