i'm tryin' the acetone sh!t this week- actually.. i just started it about 30 mins. ago after i did a fill up. I usually avg. 345 from eLIGHT to eLIGHT.

Favor: SOMEONE TELL ME ASAP IF I GOTTA KNOW SOMETHING.

1999 Camry LE. 4cyl/4at. (5s)
So far:
---------------------At 5 Miles-------------------------------

1) RPM at IDLE being lower even w/the A/C on.

2) Alot quieter when running.

---------------------At 100 Miles-----------------------------

3) Car's slow on Acceleration from 0-40

4) Cannot hold speed properly even on a decline.

5) RPM goes up to 5300 from 40-65 opposed to the 4500 before.

6) Nomore pull from 65mph and up even when floored.

7) Car feels very heavy on freeway drives.

8) Gas Gauge is a bit lower than the usual point.

- i cannot wait to get rid of this f*kn tank.

supposedly acetone helps with gas mileage...but the long terms effects are unknown...could cause wear to parts and eat thru hoses, etc...

read about the deteriorating possibilities but its rather hard to believe. That 4oz. of acetone i used is diluted by 16 gallons of gasoline.

I say just do the regular thing, drive it easy, keep the car in good shape, and use recommended fuel.

Don't use acetone, it might have bad effects in the long run.
