I'm wondering if that is a mistake in the diagram there, because it is the only reference to pin 4 in 2D in all of the PDFs. Here is a thought, go find that wire, see if it acutaly does exist, and meter it in continuity with pin 4 in 2L, if that diagram is true, it should be connected.

Ok, well, the only thing i can think of, is that the ECU is smarter than it apears to be. So there is one final way to make this work. Lighting pdf, Page 22. look for the wire marked FFOG ( MOLEX B6, pin 22) Cut that. Now find the FFGO wire (MOLEX 2I, Pin8) CUT THAT. Now take the long end from the FFOG wire (non molex side) and attach that to the short end of the FFGO wire (MOLEX SIDE) this will bypass the ECU entirely. What it does is this, you have your +12V we did from before, that flows through the fog light relay, on the other end of that, we are attaching it directly to the wire that goes tothe fog switch. The other end of the fog switch we attached directly to ground. This will do it. it has to cause there is no other way.

The only thing i can think of, is that the ECU is also blocking the fog light signal because it's not getting an imput from the headlights. But that seems so redundent since in 2 other places it's getting the override aswell.

Ouch. this hurts my head.

I don't believe that will bypass the ECU....I am uploading some images now, from the Lighting and the EWD.

it looks cool.

when there really is fog, its actually more effective to have just the fog lights on.

Sure it will bypass it. The last method i described, hookes the switch directly to the relay.

I am having a hard time finding these wires. The EWD sin't very descriptive as to where they are located. And the lighting section doesnt seem to cover it at all.

Got any advice?

I see on page 23 of Lighting, the description of B6, but where in the vehicle is it located?

Wow, I am calling it quits for today. I need to do some research on just how to get back there easily. Thats quite the hassle.

I'll post more tommorrow. Sorry to dissappoint.
