Blue wire goes to a 12v source, the battery, with a 10amp fuse in between.

When I touch the blue wire to the battery, when the lowbeams are on, the fogs come on.

Under all the other conditions, they stay off.

While looking at this, I think i see the problem:

OK, i found the propblem, and this is why i wanted you to meter it first, aparently the switch is also tied into the headlights as well. gimmie a sec to find where htese wires come out at.

I did meter first, just not like i should have. I only tested continuity when the lows were on. not thinking, obviously, lol.

OK, what you need to do is remove the stearing column cover. Inside there on the left side, you'll find the combinationswitch C9 with a bunch of wires comming out of it The wires we are interested in is pins 10 an 17. They should be grey, and should be looped together. Cut that, and attach pin 10 to ground. (HINT: Pin 16, White with Black Stripe, is ground and should be safe to spice into)

Yeah, that should do it, You can see on the picture how the foglight pin lines up with the headlight one lower down.

K, so cut gray, connect wire closest to me (in photo below) to white with black stripe (via splice, not cut).

Pics so far. Haven't cut or spliced yet.

Well the diagram says pins 10 and 17 should be grey and looped together, the best theing would be to meter it. pins 10 and 17 should have continuity, pins 16 and known ground should also.

I understand that, but once the gray wire is cut, (because it is looped), do I connect the side closest or furthest from me to the ground?

I dont have a pin layout diagram. so i dont know under there which is 10 and which is 17....make sense?
