Want colored Daytime Running Lights?

Want colored Daytime Running Lights?

Postby philosophicaljt » Mon Jul 23, 2007 12:26 pm

I just bought some Nokya yellow 9005 bulbs for use in my HB/DRL's. I love the way they look.

However, what I really want is................

Amber! I think it would look sweet if the DRL's were amber. Much like the color of the lens in the corner of the headlamps.

Anyone good with Photoshop? I would love a picture of amber DRL's if anyone could photoshop me one :)

What other color might be nice?

You can eliminate blue (or red or green or .... ) DOT regulations only allow forward facing lighting to be white or amber. Rear facing lights can only be red or amber.

The good news is, there are legally no restrictions in DOT regs (your state may have its own rules) for colored lighting that faces downward (chassis mounted show lighting) so LED's or other lighting for wheels and under carriage is legal in most states.

Cheers

I don't care about DOT rules or laws. The cops around me leave me alone. And by blue, |I really meant something with a blue hue, not a blue bulb. I suck at speaking, lol.

They are slightly brighter. But I really prefer that golden yellow color they have. Makes it look nicer, I think.

I will post up more later tonight. I will try and get a pic of the stock vs yellow side by side.

In the bottom picture, I have the high beams on. I didnt want to forget to mention that.
