How-to update the Navigation Maps?

I have version 4.2 when I check the map's on my navigation (factory navi).

I was wondering how to update it? I am pretty sure I read that the unit is made by Denso, is that correct?

I see ebay has some DVD updates, how do I determine which one works for my 2004 model Navi?

The new DVD is as close as your Toyota dealer. The latest release is 6.1. This update is from January of this year. The dealer price is in excess of $225. However, watch ebay and you will find what you are looking for. Just make sure that you buy a disc that is denoted for your year of Solara and that it is 6.1. I took a chance and bought one, for only $75.00. It appears to be an actual OEM part, not a copy. I works great. The update only took a short time, and I was up and running again. There does not appear to be any function changes, yet the maps are certainly updated.
