Thanks Crazy...it will not be necessary tho. I succeed to finish the 2 last things. The resistor was hard because I didn't know where to push...there is a track behind it...just need to use a tiny screw-driver and push thru...then bring the whole off the track.

The main reason why my reverse light didn't work...the bulb wasn'T push at 100% thru the plug...Weird since the stock bulb are much more easier to plug. Now I'm happy it works perfectly ! :D

You buy those from the dealership and how much about they run you. Thinking of doing those while I'm waiting for next summer to get rims and tires.

???

I got the taillights from Reggie at 215$ shipped
I got the smoking film (20%) from InStyleGraphics.com
I got the re-retouing stuff with the help of Cklinh (amazon.com won't sell those items to Canadian citizens   )

Sebas, when you bought your smoke film is it pre-cut?

I can answer that... he had to cut it himself. Of all the places I've searched, no one has precut film for the 07's (or the 04-06's for that matter, but that's expected).

cklinh wrote:Hey Sebastien, how much tint did you need per light? (I don't have my car right now to measure)...

Is one 12"x24" sheet big enough for each light?

Ask for 13"X31" instead of 12"X32" (more standard size)

12"X24" is way too small.

Purchase 4 times 12"X16" and ask to have it 2 sheets of 13"X31"
10% wouldn't be enough dark...35% is way to much
20% is perfect !! :) (the % works in the opposite way of window tinting)

I'll make a little movie at night (will look like Milt vid) The LED has no problem to blink thru the film !!

MANDATORY !!
Buy an heat gun if you don't have one. Ask also a friend to helping you.
Use a lot of lightly soaped water too ! It will make your hands slide better to mold the film on the light.

I was working with my friend...I was heating and spraying water and he was molding the film on the light...take off the bubble. It's better to heat but don't forget to spray water in short interval. The film is very resistant...but it has a limit...if it is too heated it can tear...just dont forget to spray water. It's why I don't see any human do this alone !! (Pro maybe can...but our lights are very curvy !!)

I bought it from
http://www.instylegraphics.com/index.asp?

On the left menu click "Taillight Kits "
then click first choice ".Bulk/Uncut Sheets "
ask for 2 time 2-1216
or 4 time 1216
don't forget to ask a sheet of 31"X13" (just have more grip (1 extra inch) to pull on the film instead of 32"X12")

I will add also...cut the bottom extra film off the light. Let some extra film on the top of the light....when you will install the light on the car...you'll understand.

I would suggest you to buy Gen 2.5 tails from Reggie http://www.solaraguy.org/viewtopic.php?t=28260 and then smoked them like I did...http://www.solaraguy.org/viewtopic.php?t=33065&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=30 and you can do the signal redirection http://www.solaraguy.org/viewtopic.php?t=27454

would need

2X The Hopkins Towing Solutions Basic 4 Wire Harness Part Number 48915
can be found on amazon.com
+
2X The Hopkins Towing Solutions PART No 48205
can be found on amazon.com
+
LED bulb Flasher CF18-08 unit (to avoid too fast blinkers)
http://superbrightleds.com/flashers.htm
+
white ("xenon") bulbs type 7440 (for the new reverse)
I bought PIAA ones

Bottom line, you will never found any cheaper then those I sold...I almost gave them...same for the '07 HU w/ MP3 compatibility ! But at least you can do your own ! :)
