New member here :D

First off i just want to say that im so happy to have found a forum with fellow Solara lovers. Im 18 soon to be 19 and very new to the whole car tweaking and what not thing. I love my Solara which was given to me by my dad. I couldnt be happier. Its a 99' red SLE V6. Fully loaded, just missing a sun roof. Only problem is it has a alot of miles on it. 143K. Most are high way miles. Not bad but it makes me wonder if it would be worth it to put any cash into body kits and other stuff. Anyways, very excited to join such a sick forum and hope to make some new friends on here.

Welcome to solaraguy. I have the same car (with sunroof) Lots of useful info here. If you did all the right maintenance on time the engine should last a good while.

Welcome :D

With proper maintenence, there's no reason why you couldn't begin modding.

Welcome!

Solaras are pretty reliable; with regular maintenance you should be able to reach 300k easily. Keep in mind that the Gen1 and Gen1.5 V6 engine (the 1MZ-FE) run on a timing belt, not a chain. They have to be replaced every 90k miles, but since you're already near 150k, I would say that the timing belt and water pump have already been replaced at least once.

Keep the car clean, go wild with the mods and it'll all be good. :)
