Since I havent seen a post about the injen SRI for the gen2 in a while, thought i'd might start a new one.

Today i installed my new Injen SRI i ordered from sounddomain.com. damn thing was on back order for about 3 weeks. Finally got it yesterday to my door. Anywho the install took me a bit, was simple and easy to do. I am very happy with the result of this product. I've had Injen before on my 00' Celica GTS and I freaking loved how it sounded when i would hit LIFT in it, it would scream so loud just like this one on my Solara now.

Let's just say my car is very noticeable when I give her full throttle and get close to redline. I know it ain't no cpe intake but i've always been happy w/ injen and plus i loved the polished look to it :P

Why is the heat shield installed on the wrong side of the filter? :o Is that the "Winter mode" to get more heated air into the engine quicker?

FWIW - I've still never seen any "real" dyno results with OEM/Injen comparison yet. My experience was that it made a lot of noise - and that's about it.

PXLpainter - I made a woops installing it, but turned it around when I cleaned it. It made no real difference, but oh well. That's funny though, winter mode!

For you 4 cylinder kids, why not get the Fujita CAI?

Is that Fujita for the TC or is it made for the Solara?

I don't know what you mean about "real", do you think Injen would still be one of the biggest intake manufacturers if they lied about everything? Here's the dyno sheet, ran on a DynoJet which showed max 11HP. I know the DynoJet might not be the best dyno, but it can't be that far off. Besides, it doesn't matter how much you test or how big it is. Unless you do a port and polish, IMO your not going to get BIG numbers. Also, this is still much better than a drop-in TRD or K&N.

So it might not fit. It might have some clearing issue on the botton end
