My Fog Lights Won't Turn On!

Tonight, I was working on putting my old HID kit on my fog lights. I got different bulbs for the fogs, so I know that's not the problem. My normal fogs worked, and then I put the driver's side HID on and it worked. I put the passenger side HID on and it didn't. When I tried the driver's side on the passenger side, it didn't work. I put the driver's side HID back and it worked for a split second and then turned off. After going WTF?!, I then proceeded with trying to turn it back on. Nothing. I hooked up the old bulbs and turned them back on. Nothing. Did I short a fuse or circuit somewhere?

Nope, I figured it out. It was just a blown fuse. I touched a wire to a place I shouldn't have on accident.

Where do I get these TINY fuses? I'm going to call Autozone in a second, but if you know where that would be open at 11pm

Did you check to see if there's an extra fuse or two in a slot that's not connected to anything?

Yes, I checked and double checked. I even considered stealing one from another function. I don't want to do that, though, because if it blows again I have 2 fuses I'll have to replace

Where do I get these little ones? does anyone know what I'm talking about? Should I take a picture of it?

over here we have them at "napa" auto supply... dont know if you have them over in AZ.

WALMART.... the only reason I loved that store....

they have the basic fuses there, or atleast should have.

We all have extra fuses...check in your owner manual book.

just a side note, whenever I mess with electrical on my car I always disconnect the battery. Just cause it saves you time and money in the end.

Alright everyone, I fixed the problem. I burnt out another fuse when I had both HIDs on direct connect (they drew more than 10A together), so I put them on the relay harness that I totally forgot I had. This made the current draw from only one light hookup, so they both drew less than 10A together to start the bulbs and warm up.

In short, if you're blowing fuses when you get your HID kit, use the relay!

I'll get pics up tonight when it's nice and dark outside. All I need to do now is figure out where to mount the ballasts.
