Has anyone here seen or bought these yet? (I'm thinking they would look pretty sweet on my ride).

uh... firstly, no JDM for Solaras...
secondly, I thought the goal idea was to get away from amber lights?
or were you interested in the "clear amber lense"? how about just yellow tint on the fogs?

I currently have yellow Hoen H10 bulbs in my fogs (and like 'em). I was thinking about how my ride would look with these amber lenses (I'm still undecided), but I thought I would check here first to see if these really were a direct replacement for the factory fog lamp housings on the Gen 2.

If you want the amber look it seems like the way to go... Better than just sticking yellow film on your lens IMO anyway.

Maybe its just me, but why is everyone going with yellow fogs now? I could see if they came on by themselves and you truly needed them for "Fog" lights, but I use mine to just put more light on the road and would love it if I could find a bulb/light that more closely matched my HIDs in color temp!

It makes the car look more like a Lexus and more easier to see the road in low light situations (e.g. rain and fog; high K rated light doesn't work well). If it was done on a Toyota/Lexus, that'll actually complement the brand, but just a knock-off on other brands, like BMW and the Angel Eyes (although it's a modification most people don't mind though).

Holy thread revival!

Well, PXL, us NorCal'ers get more fog, and the yellow does help...

Having said that, I think I've come full circle on these. My yellow tint is starting to come loose around the edges, and I would like to replace them with these.

Has anyone tried them? Seems like the price has come down quite a bit (used to be around $180, right?)

Was also wondering if you'd think a yellow bulb will shine through the amber lens as yellow?

I'll be replacing my fogs soon. I looked at these but not sure if its the look am going for and how would it really look on a blk solara? Im just replacing them because the wear from the road niks, condenstation, yada. there over 3 yrs old and the dont look crystal clear. Thats why I'll be replacing the head lights too. I am a lil afriad that once i gt the head lights OEM again, a aftermarket Head light will come out. What are the odds?

Personally I like the bulbs to have a different color, not the covering since it can pit/peel/whatever, plus it looks a lot more clean... But to each their own.

^^ Yup! Here I am a year later with yellow Nokias in my fogs... guess I just gave up trying to match the HIDs. ;)

Just got them yesterday... they're a lot brighter yellow than the photos would indicate. Almost, but not quite, on par with the sticker city tints...

I'll be installing these on Sunday or Monday, I'll be sure to grab some pics comparing the two...
