Anybody try to upgrade the dial AC controls to digital?
If so, how much?

Try doing a search next time... In case you didn't, I'll let you go this time but others may not be as forgiving:

It IS possible, but VERY involved as you have to install tempurature sensors, convert the electrical controls and a few other things... One person embarked on this project, but I never heard from him again.

It'd probably be simpler to trade for an SLE which comes from the factory with the auto climate control.

Cheers

I'd probably look into going to a junkyard and try to find an sle. Then, take out the climate control and look all the wiring. There's probably extra relays and sensors that manuals don't have. I would think after the relays/sensors the wiring to the fuse panel would be the same? But, it might be a little more complicated than that. I don't know anyone who's done this....you'd be the first if you can complete the job! :D If you can get it done, please make a tutorial.......

there are also going to be servos to control the amount of heat, and where the air goes. A junkyard car sounds like the best bet, because you'll need a bunch of stuff. It is far more involved than swapping the front panel.

Sounds like more work than I thought. I researched the digital panel and that was $500+(new) I rather put that money into something else like audio/video right now. I keep you guys posted if I do drop in the digital panel.
