yea i've always thought the thermometer was inaccurate.
i remember mine used to stay around 60 something for a long time and i just kinda ignored it. I knew that it was wrong cuz i ran into one of those bank signs that tell the temperature. It said like 85 degrees. At first i thought it was just really slow at updating the temp....but i don't think that really is the case

I found mine enough accurate. When it comes near 0C (freezing point) in winter I know that -1C it's frozen and at 1C it's not.

Try to go to Celcius and back to Farenheit.

If not working...do the power reset slam !! :P
Disconnect the battery for like 30 second...maybe go for a minute. It will reset it but even more, your i-tranny will forget your habits...so you'll have to teach it again...not a big deal, just to let you know. :)
