Smoked Gen 2.5 taillights

Smoked Gen 2.5 taillights

Postby Sebas007 » Sat Apr 28, 2007 10:34 am

It costs me twice material..but there is just one way to learn, it's to try ! ;)
I had the help of a friend. I think it is mandatory. I was the heat gun controller and the soaped water sprayer. I still have one light to redo cuz we messed up at the end of it. This is the one I photographed. The problem is located at the little end (I heated too much and my friend doesn't wait long enough before trying to spread it...) At least I'm happy we succeed it ! :D

I compare my Gen 2 smoked tailights (thanks cklinh I enjoyed those !! )

The pics are not as nice as I would like too be...no natural light today ! :S

Anyway...the purpose is to compare with my old smoked gen 2 tailights. Seems that my old tailights were smoked at 10%...now I have 20%

Looks great! It's nice that the LED's won't have any problems shining through the tint.

What percentage is that tint? I think that's what I want :)

Thanks man !! :D I'm not a professional but I made a good job I think. :) I'm satisfied to know I can do it correctly myself. I'll redo this left one because of the scratch but it will be easier the next (AND LAST) time ;)

Exactly ! :D I'm happy with the result.

This is 20% tinted (it works opposite way then the windows tinting)
20% means that it is 20% of the lights is blocked by the film. Windows tinting 20% means 20% of the light passing thru. I had choice between 10%, 20% and 35%

I bought my films at InStyleGraphics.com

had to check ur link out. I'm feelin it. Can you take a pic of the whole back of the car with both lights so we can see how it looks on the streets? Try to get pix of the whole body of the car from an angle and not so close up. I know i sound like im some photographer which i'm far from lol...

The rims match pretty well with ur ride.
NICE!
