Gen 2 Solara.. (design ideas)

Gen 2 Solara.. (design ideas)

Heres some photoshop pics of my solara.

They are all different and my photoshopping skills are mediocre.

Image

-Dark Blue tinted headlights.
-fender flares.
-lowered and widened stance.
-killed the irritating smile ( front bumper)
-Halo foglights (are cool, ok)
-I also made the front grill half the size of normal, its just the way it ought to be. It keeps the flow going from the bottom of the headlights to the bottom of the grill.

Image

-Painted lower part of bumper black
-Added some ok looking rear.. bumper things
-Aligned the emblems down the center and got rid of the "toyota" emblem
-Added the side skirt
-Added a custom low profile spoiler that i think compliments the curvaceous a$$ the solara. ( the current stock spoilers are... ok i guess. i mean, they do kind of look like a normal fingernail and a manicured nail.. )

Image

-Centered emblems
-bottom of bumper painted black
-low profile spoiler
-tinted taillights

All i tried to do with painting the bottom of the bumper black and adding a low spoiler is to give it the illusion of being wider. When i look at the rear of my car all i can say is "damn you fat"

the car needs fender flares. Like for reals.

i hope you enjoyed the pictures.

Hm... didn't we have a thread a while back asking for design suggestions on a new body kit? These would fit in nicely in that thread... (of course, whomever made that thread probably gave up on it already).

yea props for the photochop skills....

they look nice...but i dunno about those spoilers....it's really hard to match a nice spoiler for our solaras other than our stock lips...

i like the resizing the front grill though...once again good job !

Your skills are not bad at all...I would be what you call mediocre with PS!!

Did you use

RSX front bumper
350Z rear fender
'07 Camry bottom rear end (muffler section)

I like also the smaller grille. Too bad that you didn't start from a dropped with bigger wheels or at least the stock 17" wheels

Not bad at all... Those are some stellar ideas! Personally the spoiler isn't bad; it takes some getting used to since most of us SG folks are just only used to the factory lip spoiler.

Thanks.

Hmm, i didnt really notice that some parts resembled those cars. I just sat in front of my computer for 10 minutes and did nothing more than stretch, shrink, and shade from memory. Interesting..

Youre right that it looks like a tiburon spoiler, but then again some spoilers from one company may look like one from another. For example a stock eclipse has those giant arch spoilers on their cars. The latest model supra has it too. Im not too sure if it comes stock but it does fit the car. I dont know, whatever its personal preference really. Some may stir kool-aid with a spoon but i stir with a chopstick.

Spoiler and the "Acura point" in the front bumper are icky. But everything else looks nice, especially the fender flares.

The 'Acura' point is also similar to the gen 1.5 point...

Yea now that i saw a couple pics of the gen 1.5, it does have that crease down the bumper.

Feel free to take the pictures and photoshop them to your hearts content. Be sure to post them so we can all see what YOU want to see in the car.
