2007 Bumper Swaps

Hey you guys. I'm gonna be getting a 2004 Solara in a few days. I was just wondering if it's possible to swap bumpers with the new 2007 Solara sport?

I dont really care much about the front but I do want to swap out the rear. I can pretty much do the work myself but just wanted to know if it was even possible without too much modding. If it is, what would I need?
Bumper cover, led tailghts, trunk?

Bumper cover, Reverse Lights, and wire the lights.... If it is the LED lights you want, check the tutorial, you can put them on without any of this other stuff.

If it is the actual bumper you like, no need to get the leds, but you do need the reverse lights.... Also The trunk lid is the same.... Just change the emblems.

You actually WANT that rear bumper? It totally ruins the lines of the car - as does the new front! :honda:

Just get the tails and the spoiler like I did (only if you want back-up lights, do a search for Milt's tutorial on wiring it)

nah, looks doesnt matter that much to me. The car's rear bumper, lights, and trunk is messed up due to some a some high truck backin into it. So the trunk, bumper, and tailights is f'd. Thats why im gettin it at a pretty cheap price, no frame damage tho.

So I thought if i was going to upgrade, might as well go to the latest. But didnt know the new bumper is so 'non-liked' haha. I just like the rear diffuser look. The 04 doesnt have a rear lip but has the front lip.

So yea hopefully i wont get trashed for asking this. The lines of the 04 and the 07 are the same just a direct swap?

Yes that is correct. The wiring is what is different... for the tails and the reverse lights.

thank you for the pictures. Hmm tha tailights and the trunk lid i'd most def have to do. The bumper ima have 2nd thoughts on that now
