that nice milage you got there...I'd say at this point, even if you were to sell the car you would hardly get anything. Just keep driving till she falls.

FYI: the current gen is the LAST gen for solara, no solara's will be made after these are discontinued.

230K? (You need to update your signature text) Estimated 35K per year depending on when you bought the '01 model.

You car must not sit still very much. Are the seats worn out?

So give us a run down on what you've had to replace. (How many times on the timing belt?)

Sounds like she is still running good. More than likely you don't have any car payments as well so why have some if you don't have too? :D The routine maintenance would be good info for us to know.

'06 is really nice.

But I think that if you wait some more, Toyota must reveals some surprise....since they don't offer any "sporty" model. Maybe they could do a Camry-coupe or a new Celica...in 1-2 years. Whatever, Toyota needs to fill their line-up with something sportier....and the 3.5L V6 2GR-FE (2GR-FSE seems to be only for Lexus...) would be a great engine to start up something interesting.

If you want to stand with something realistic go with the '06 models...you won't regret it. :)

i have 160k on my 2k v6. I saw an engine w/90k on it for sale on ebay for $500. Mine runs great but if the engine goes and everything else is still holding up ill just put another one in. The cost of the labor would be the killer

Yeah I'm curious to what you've replaced as well. (other than oil, filters and tires) I have an 02 with 100k and have only replaced the o2 sensor and brake master cylinder.

I think I beat you all. I got it cheap with the high KM. All service was done at Toyota from day 1 and I have all service records.

I have an '01 with 86,000 and I thought that was high. Wow! You almost triple my mileage. You must be proud. I guess the Solara really shows you that its worth the money. It really is a quality car.
