Loved the car and already miss it. I had a truck, too, but totalled it in ice storm. Had to make a decision, because I need to have utility to carry stuff...so get practical to some extenet and bought a RAV4 and traded the Solara on it. They gave me a fair trade price plus got the RAV for $500 under invoice. Definately had some remorse when I walked away from the Solara...it is a GREAT car and I will miss it.

Jerry - what did you ever do to resolve the "ugly antenna" issue with your Sirius? Is it still mounted on the trunk?

Yes, it's on the trunk, but it' not ugly. It's not the V shaped thing, it's just a small antenna. The big ungly antena was someone else who had theirs installed at the dealership.

You don't need to ruin your car's look with the antenna on the actual body of the car....

Here is how Kay's gen2 has it... and I rock it like that as well on my cars. On the outside bottom of the windshield...

I don't consider that the antenna ruins the look of my car. It's very small...

Joe - didn't get a PM from you - maybe you sent to Jerry instead? ;)

Jerry - that's not too bad I guess... not as big as others I've seen.

Milt - any performance problems with yours or Kays in that location? You really can't even see it! :o

OK, so I'm PM challenged...give me a break, I'm still in remorse over giving up the Solara...I can't believe I did it. I actually made a decision on practicality....God I feel old !!!

But, the bright side is that when the Dodge Challenger comes out, I can put a Hemi in my garage and still drive a Toyo RAV most of the time....can you say SMOKE THEM TIRES ????

By the way, anyone interested in a good SUV, this Rav is really, really nice, and the V6 has BALLS!

I just rode in a new '07 RAV 4 last week - I was WAYYY Impressed (even riding in the back seat)!! They're a lot roomier than they used to be -and solid/plenty of power. Dang - I'd consider one in a heartbeat if I had $$ and room for one to park in my garage along with our other two cars. Maybe if I end up keep ing my Solara once we get another place to live, I would consider getting one for a daily driver/weekend warrior. Good choice I'd say! :D

What's strange is that unlike the Solara (i.e. throttle lag and rough shift at low rpm), I have to be careful with the RAV. Pedal is sensitive, so I have to adjust to new feel...definately no lag in throttle response...maybe a little too responsive. Shifting is smoother, too, but I liked the dual gate shifter layout of the Solara better. On top of all that, no MPG computer, no dimming mirror, no homelink, no auto headlights on...no factory installed alarm...but it does have DRL. All that and it's a $31k MSRP RAV Ltd.

Not really, same reception we had on the actual body of the car, is the same we get on the windshield. And that's the whole point, for it not to be seen!! Homeboiiiiiiiiiy!!!
