Is there a difference ordering from discounttire and discounttiredirect? I notice discounttiredirect is a little cheaper. This is my only way of buying them since I don't have any local stores near me? Also, the Yokohama YK520 only offers H-Speed in my tire size, 215/60-16. Do you know what the maximun high speed is for the H-speed? Thanks.

man google it !! You have all the tools you need to find it yourself...you'll enjoy the experience ! ;)

Sorry...you must not be accustom to internet.

There is a popular and helpful website to seek anything you want

http://www.google.com

Go there and ask for : tire H speed
You will find many pages talking about the suject
So read the description of all of them and when you think it makes sense, click on the link to open up the page.

I found in 2 seconds this website answering your question :

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiretech/techpage.jsp?techid=35

but I prefer those one.

Everybody have to know all those info to make good wheel/tire choice yourself. It's the basics

However, for question about Solara...just use the seaarch button at the top of the page.

May I Ya-Who it? Will that also work?

I was just hoping for a quick answer from someone who has experience and knowledge from working at a tire company. Although you were very helpful, I would like to thank you, I appreciate it.

I recommend my tires to everyone. I've suggested them in the past and I'll keep pushing them. For something relatively cheap with sport handling, I say go with the Fuzion ZRi. They are a summer tire though, but the handling is amazing.

Discount Tire direct is discount tire's version of tire rack, a way for customers to get tires if there's no stores located near them. Like in the reviews that I mentioned it performs near the same as the michelins but a fraction of the price. With proper rotation and rebalancing at 5,000 miles you can probably expect to get near 50,000 miles out of them. I was unaware you had the 16 inch wheels. Most tires in that size don't come with a bead protector but you'll still get the same great tire. If you are thinking from just ordering from tire rack like the other guy said, the Bridgestone Pole Position is a great tire. I'm not sure off hand if it's in your size. You can do different sizes like a 225/55-16 to check other options. Good luck with finding a tire. One other thing finding a good tire shop in your area that sells a variety of tires is always a better way to go because they incorporate installation and warranties cheaper than buying tires online and usually your rotations, balances and flat repairs are free.

Postby mattx619 » Sun Mar 04, 2007 11:31 pm

after 30k I got Michelin Pilot Sport A/S @ 235/50/17. A huge upgrade to the Toyos. Roughly $200 per. Excellent tire. Instant difference maker.

I'm due for a set at 41k on my 06 (factory 17's). I'm looking at the Pirelli P6 and the Michelin MXV, as all-season touring options. I would like to go with a dry weather tire, but this car sees winter duty in the NE, so I need a tire that can get through the snow too. The factory Bridgestones are decent, but they wear out faster than I like.
