Er... did the 05 Sport's have Leather as an option?

Wasn't aware that they did... and if they didn't, was it a dealer installed option?

The driver seat on my 04 looks horrible- its all stretched out and lose. I think there is some stretch in leather, as it is a natural material, but not as much as mine has. I'm a tiny, athletic guy, and mine are stretched. We'll see if I can get them replaced under warranty the next time the car goes in.

Hmmm...I have an 06, but I have had it for two years, and I have some of the creasing that all leather seats get, but no "stretching". I think that's odd if your seats stretch and the leather becomes loose.

I was noticing that the other day too on my seats, but it seem to tighten up a bit over night when I'm not on it. I have the leather seats put in by gulf states toyota, the leather is a bitt more durable than factory. I'm 6'3" and 235 lbs, so what can you expect.

I am a big guy. I have leather seats and my seats are well over 6 years old. I have had no problems with the leather "stretching". Perhaps your leather is not stretching as much as the cushin beneath the leather is becoming flatter. That is to say that is does not return to its original size or shape. Maybe Toyota is using a cheaper cushin in its seats.

Took my Solara in today for a bunch of warranty work, the leather on my seat stretching, being one of those items. I got a call this afternoon from the service manager who told me that my seat is stretching because-

1- I drive with the seat heater turned on too much
2- I move around in the seat too much
3- I don't sit "carefully" on the seat
4- I weigh too much (ha ha- I am an athletic 140 lbs)

They then told me they were going to do nothing about it.

Fock Toyota!

1. The seat heater is there TO be turned on.
2. Who moves around in their seat...bull.
3. How does one sit CAREFULLY in a seat?
4. If 140 is too heavy, we are DOOMED!

Picket the front of the dealership with a sign that says; "I have a saggy seat because of Toyota!"

LOL- I'm going to put leather conditioner on it and see what that does. My girlfriend told me that when she conditioned the leather in her car that it helped it out quite a bit. I'm going to do that when I get the car back and see if it helps. Otherwise, I'll just deal with it.

Meguiar's leather conditioning wipes work really well.

That's all crap IMO!

Talk to the service manager. If he's no help, then talk to the general manager. Still nowhere, call Toyota Customer Experience Center 800-331-4331 and report the dealership and their response. Bet you'll be riding on new leather in no time! ;)
