Renova Gen 1 Solara Front grill pre-order/following up

tboidsc wrote:I got mine as well here in NYC, but noticed the same thing, the adhesive used to hold the grill in place is broken in a few places. I guess not too much of big deal, the body show will probably be able to figure something out. I just do not like that the grill is just painted black. I thought that it was going to be black metal, thru and thru. I may remove the grill and get it powder poated for more durability, also to get a good trace of it, if ever needed to replace in the future. Thank you again... :D

Recieved my grill not so long ago! Grill itself is lookin pretty good although the adhesive has broken off ina few places too....but Im sure thats fairly easy to fix. I havnt tried to test fit the grill yet.....

I do have a quick question for some and it may sound like a stupid ques but how do I properly get the stock grill out after unscrewing it? I just dont feel comfortable in yanking it out as i dont want to break the stock grill. Anyways if someone can help me out..diagrams/instructions that would be great. thanks guys.

if i remeber correctly, there are two tabs on the far right and left side of the lower grill. use a flat head screw driver to press down the bumper tab part so you can slide out your factory grill.

Took me awhile to get mine painted and installed, been busy, but it's on now and painted Toyota 205 and it's really slick. I like the grill much more then the OEM modified one I had on. I did elect to go with the center bar.

Thanks Renova for a job well done and I HIGHLY recommend your product.
