Very good choice on ballast placement location - I never through of mounting them under the headlight.

Okay - so 'sup with you guys and the yellow fogs anyways? Is that a Gen 1 thing or just a ricer thing? I've yet to see a stock Lexus with yellow fogs.

I see a bunch of lexus cars (is, es, gs) with yellow hid's here in MN and in NE. I was never a fan of them until I drove at night, in fog/sleet/snow for about 7 hours from NE back to SE MN with silverstar headlights and fogs...Bad choice! The yellow fogs are a huge help in the snow, rain and sleet. Much better visibility and a much better choice for adverse conditions. Although I like the all "pure white" look of the 5000k, the yellow fogs are actually functional and I settle for their average appearance.

So, to answer your question, no it is not a "ricer" mod, it is quite functional and a nice feature to have in poor visibility conditions.

^^ Oh.. like we have all the time here in SoCal?

Yes - I know all about the "practicality" of yellow fogs - I grew up in the Willamette Valley in Oregon and drove in every kind of weather imaginable (except sunny, clear skies!) ;) I had them on my Dodge truck way back then... very useful indeed up there.

^^no need for the smart ass remarks when you knew their true purpose the whole time.

Vegas- awesome job on the HID's, they look great! How is the glare? I'm in the market for some as well, will definitely check out the place you bought yours at.

wow realy nice!! :o

I wanted to see what it will look on my white lara to get 4300k HID. Now I know, that's beautiful! Look like my SIlverstar but brighter and whiter a bit, really cool.

I don't know how 5000K would look, I don't want to look "white-blue" like ricer civic and all. I want a OEM look, very white (no yellow at all)
Im scare that 4300K would be a bit white-yellow..

Maybe Vegas can help me on that.

I love your fog+headlight with the same Kelvin, that's not rice, that's badass!!

Hey you mounted your ballasts in the same location I did on the drivers side. I couldn't find any other place to put it because the battery was in the way. I used the airbag sensor bracket though.

5300 K doesnt give you ricer civic looks, its light blue when the bulb warms up, then goes to white as well

I went with 4800k and it's perfect. Infact it's the same color temp you find on those older Cadilac Escalades with HIDs.

I love the hids. Nice job vegas. My only suggestion is to make sure you enjoy them because once you go hid you will hate halogens. LOL
