Automatic Power Window for Passenger?

Automatic Power Window for Passenger?

Postby RDKamikaze » Wed Dec 13, 2006 6:41 am

Hey everyone, I've been getting really annoyed by this lately that the passenger window doesn't have an automatic up/down option, but the driver's side does. Is there any way to fix this or program it to ujst keep going up/down for a few seconds after I push the button? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

So it's expensive? Darn, I guess I'll just have to live with it. As far as laziness goes, I'll be willing to do anything as long as I can do it lol!

What about an auto-UP feature for the driver side?

I have a manual car. I hate driving up to a toll booth in the rain. Getting there is no problem. Push auto down as I get close to the booth, but leaving is another story.
Drop my money and hit the gas. Finger on window up. Move left hand back to steering wheel to allow right hand to shift while rain is coming in the window. Right hand back on steering wheel. Left hand on button to make window come up. Time to shift again. I gotta do that process again.
I want an AUTO-UP function.

Gen 2s have auto up, except the convertible. I got ripped off!

Makes no sense that a convertible coudn't have auto up.

My money is that the French made all the automatic features like windows because they can never do anything right. :drinking:

I think that D2TC is working on a mod panel that will allow us Convert. folks to have more automated options with the windows soon... possibly after the New Year sometime?

I can't wait!! :D

i have Python security system from DEI and one of the option you can install is window unit.
it will make it possible to have auto up/down of the window.
that feature is only from the driverside.
also it will auto close the window when you lock the car.
it's pretty nice, but if you want to get just for the window feature, it won't justify the price. if are thinking about adding security system w/ or w/out remote start, additional 150 is not a bad price i think...

^^The remote start is a great thing, especially for those of us that have all four seasons^^ Warm the car in the winter, cool the car in the summer, along with the many other features such as, shock sensor, two-way paging, auto up and down, etc.

Definitely worth the investment in my honest opinion.

That's true. I have all the hardware, now I need all the time. No promise date but you know I'll have it ready for my ragtop season. (cuz I'm a selfish bastard)

^^Mike, I have the module if you're needing one. I picked it up for my other vehicle but didn't need it. I'm not sure if it will work w/o the aftermarket alarm though. I also have the microwave sensor for when your top is down as well.^^
