Vanity Mirror Light?

Vanity Mirror Light?

Postby Mr_Chunks » Tue Oct 31, 2006 1:10 am

Yeah my driver side vanity mirror light bulb exploded. Yes, it exploded. God knows what the hell happened to it but now i need a new one and cannot find the number of the bulb anywhere
Yes, i used the search function but the only tutorial i found said that they did not know the bulb number either.

So does anyone know? Or does anyone know who would get it for me ( besides going to toyota because theyll charge me way more than i should pay for 1 measly light bulb )

i went to my local dealership to pick em up
they worked
and they were 7 a piece
but for a goddamn light bulb thats a grip. ESPECIALLY considering i did my dome light, map light, trunk light and license plate lights all in LED for 25, and then bought 2 dinky little vanity lights for 14 bucks.

Helpful Hint: If you need vanity light bulbs for your 99-02 Solara (not sure about newer ones) go to your friendly Honda dealer and ask for part# 83238-SHJ-X01. The list price is $1.80 although most dealers use matrix pricing and you're likely to pay about $2.25 but it's still a lot cheaper. That part# is for a 2005 or newer Odyssey so they may have to order it.

I'm sure Toyota, Honda, GM etc. buy their bulbs from the same suppliers, it's just a matter of how they choose to price them.

I've worked for both Toyota and Honda and in general Honda parts are MUCH less expensive (still prefer 'Yotas though).

I didn't miss the irony of your post though.....lol.
