looked online and didnt know their company is based in australia. in any case, totaly came out to 323.XX AUS dollars total

this translates to roughly 250 US dollars. is this what everyone else paid for the bar?

This is an official US source for Whiteline parts. I have ordered from them bunches of times and they have great customer service (if you need it).

just to make sure there arent any physical differences between the 00 and 03 in terms of sway bars. 24MM means the thickness correct?

i find it odd because if i select an 03 version of our car, the sway bar only offeres a 20MM front sway bar.

however, if i switch to a 99 version of our car, both 20MM and 24MM optiosn are available.

What year do you have? I assumed Gen 1 since you posted in this forum. Anyway... 24mm is the front sway bar, 20mm is the rear.

very interesting. but if you yourself go on to the website offered in the above post and look for a 2003, only the front 20 MM bar is offered. i know, its weird and i have searched.

yeah, that was the topic i looked up for "whiteline" but if you read closely, the person asking the question has a 2000 solara and his list of options had both 20 MM and 24 MM when he looked up parts for his car off of that website. when you put in 2003, the only available option that they give you is a FRONT and NOT rear 20MM bar.

yeah, ive been askign around with people who couldnt install it and whatnot, no answer from anyone yet.

ok, since you have the 2003, I say stick to the 20mm...

There may be a SLIIIIGHT difference since I vaguely remember Hsakuragi (who had a 03 as well) saying he couldnt put on the JPP Pipes for some reason... Im sure Simon and Castro can tell you further if you ask them... Not sure if this affects the VERY LITTLE space you have to work with in getting the 24mm in... not to mention the movement while in motion and manuevers

With this being so, youre saying the site gives the 20mm and 24mm for the 99-02 only right? and 2003 only has the 20mm?? could be what Simon went thru....

2003 is when the camry was redone... and so the solara got built on the 2003 camry chassis, but the body style didn't change... so yea, all the parts for 97-02 camry / solara aren't always exactly a direct swap for the 2003 solara. hence the completely different parts list from whiteline.

I think (don't know for sure) that the stock sway bar size is 16mm or 17mm.

yep there is a slight difference in the gen 1 and 1.5. Me and Simon started a list of differences a while back and first thing was the headers and EGR system. Then I took his stock strutbar and we found out that the way the engine is positioned in the bay differs also. As for suspension, the Solara has less room to work with down below as compared to a camry which the early gen1 soalras are made from. Only dude I know that used a whiteline with no problems was EricSol who installed and removed it when the car was sold. He had a early 99 solara and fitted the same 24m bar i got. Get the smaller one just in case of fitment problems.
