here is the break down 01 solara Hid are install ...they been working fine for quite some time Ive never disable the DRL's so each time hand break goes down they would turn on ....now recently when handbrake goes down only one of the bulbs light up the other lights up and then shuts off ....I checked the wiring so yeah ballast box did have some humidty after removing it I secured it again and use a diff method to protect from water ....they light up just fine .....

Next problem ....for some reason I noticed when I turn the car on and turn on the headlighs both L and R headlights light up ...as i put the hand break down they stay on ....

well im looking into it but if anybody has had similar problems some feedback will be appreciated ......

This isnt DRL. Your ballasts are shorting against the chassis.

Your HID ballasts cannot be in a direct circuit with the metal body of the car. If they are, they will be on all the time or when the handbrake is down. They need to be insulated from the chassis, using something like a wood/plastic mounting board or double sided foam tape.

DRL is the grey plug under the hood on the passenger side, which should also be unplugged and disabled while you have HIDs in to prevent excessive wear.
