Solara in Yellow?

So I got to thinking a few days ago, as a deep yellow Mustang GT was sitting near me at a stoplight... I've never seen a yellow Solara. Why not? Yellow is, after all, the new red... right?

So, I got bored, opened Photoshop, and with the help of Lightear's bitchin' white Solara, I decided to try out a free yellow paint job.

I myself like it - and think a Solara with the darker interior would look pretty sweet in yellow. Thoughts?

dude, everywhere I go people are hailing me thinking i'm a black cab limo, and when I get closer, they withdraw their hands with this puzzled look. can't imagine rolling in yellow...

nice photoshop though, on the other hand, the blacked out headlights and rims on that car would look hard on a black lara.

yeeesh... i think think a solara looks good in yellow. Maybe try a burnt orange like the 350z's. An old member had hers that way... Charnee I believe her name was. Sad that the car was totaled by someone.

ahhh, let me rephrase, the current setup on that car would look much better with black body than anything else, inluding the original white or the cabbie yellow, no offense to Lightear.

played out as it may be, us '99ers would do the 1.5 swap in a heartbeat if we had the 2 grand to burn.

Yeah, I went looking for a hi-rez pic of a white 1.5 with a kit, but didn't find anything (I'm partial to the 1.5 look versus the Gen 1s myself, but that's just me). I might try a Gen 2 and see what it looks like.

There is a Yellow Gen 2 on the site somewhere. I forgot what color it started out as originally, but its yellow now and looks pretty good.

not a fan of yellow anything...... unless its a sports car i guess..... the s2000 looks great in yellow. bottom line, its not a family car color!
