You are so lucky to have a race track that you can drive your car on.

I don't even know if there is one like that in the whole state of Florida.

Me and simon are currently signed up for the event.

Sime questions answered: Type/brand of helmets is up to you. Any rating will currently work, but I personally chose the Pyrotech with snell2000 rating since it is guaranteed to be accepted for at least 5+ more years to come. Moto helmets are a different snell rating and I hear will not be accepted in the next 2-3 years due to it not being fire-proof.

The guys in the Porche, M3's, and 350z's were using it, so its good enough for me! details: Pyrotech closed face $250bucks. You can find cheaper helmets on ebay.

Another thing to notice... Painters Tape if you are worried about rock chips or just plain mud/dirt on your car.

I might bring my xB out and see it can do for fun.
I just need to be sure I have my car back and all my stuff installed. When is the lastest I can register for this event???

I might have my GF bring out the Solara for me and run that as well. I still have all my suspension stuff installed.

I just need to get a better set of wheels and tires and I can run it as well.

I've never tracked any car before so this sounds like allot of fun...

So Mark you gonna come with me if I end up going out.. hahahaha

SWEET!!!! Trust me, you guys will have a lot of fun.

As for the latest you can register, Im really not too sure. There are 40 spots open and they usually close up when the spots are full. So far there are 12 drivers in, ME and Simon included. In the past, they keep the online registration open until 2-3 days before and they even take cash on site.

$165 is a good deal considering other open track events dint give you as much track time (sometimes only 4hrs) and cost upwards of $250. Hey... It even included breakfast and lunch! lol

cdeez, dont worry how youll be feeling after thanksgiving, you and kenny are closer than we are so driving there wont beat you up that much. IF you guys need a guide or so, I've got a buddy from your area that will be attending too. If you decide to go, I can have him meetup with you guys.

Little note: have fun with your cars before its too late, the track isnt as harsh on the car as people thin it is. Auto-Xing is 10x more punishing and abusive than going open track. I've seen an auto Civic DX stock running the track with nothing but 18s.

Let me know if you guys have anymore questions. Have a good day!

Hey John,

I am thinking about it. I need to be sure that I will have my xB's suspension in the car before I run it.

The xB's stock suspension will not handle this track. Way too much body roll.

Hopefully I will have everything installed and ready to go.

I'll keep you informed.

good stuff kenny, let me know whats up. its always nice to enjoy the cars you have at least once on the track. Youll feel more confident about the car as well as your driving skill after an entire day of track time.
