Hey guys, i just ordered an Injen shortram with a heatshield. unfortunately I'm not good with installs and from what I heard the instructions included with the order to install aren't good. so anyone in the chicagoland area willing to come down to chicago suburbs to help out a fellow solaraguy with install please let me know.

thanks.

it should be really easy. Just pop the hood and figure it out. I think...and don't quote me on this, the OEM tube is bounded down by a rubber band like springs. The hardes part is getting the OEM box out...and thats not a difficult thing to do at all. The heat shield probably uses the pre-existing holes that are left over from the box removal. You'll see once u do it.

Now, getting the resonator out, thats a project that I'm not familiar with. You might want it anyways just because of the air flow. I left mine in my old civic.

I'd hate to see you wait for a meet when you can enjoy this in less than a half hour. (Assuming you mean SRI and not CAI)

Take a look at my tutorial on the Gen2. The Gen1 will have one bend in the SRI and the Gen2 has two bends. My understanding is that they are very similar in concept.

Give it a try. You'll find it very easy. Just remember to unhook the battery so the ECU has to relearn the MAF after it's mounted into the new intake.

PM if you hve any problems.
