Sup guys, this isnt my event, but im joining it. Its great fun and a place where you can do anything you want pretty much. You can speed like crazy, do burnouts, mess around in the skid box, etc etc etc. Its the entire day and food is provided. Best way to burn the calories right after Turkeyday. Any questions just post up on here or contact me through AIM.

sn: xHerManJohnx

[Info from site]
This event will include the Full 3 mile track of Buttonwillow Raceway. This is probably one of the best months of the season to run Buttonwillow. Temperatures in November are usually very mild and conditions will be ideal. Normal direction around the track 1/2 day, reverse after lunch. Only 2 rungroups, and that means LOTS of track time. Invitation only!

This is considered a "Test & Tune" day, per Buttonwillow. Driver's will be responsible for their own tech inspections. This event will be insured, and emergency medical staff will be on site in addition to official corner workers.

The track is open from 8 AM - 5 PM.

Event is rain or shine! Buttonwillow does not give refunds based on weather conditions.

The event is more appropriate for intermediate and advanced track drivers.

Price: $165 and includes continental breakfast and hot BBQ lunch. If you'd like to pay by check, send me an email with your contact info, I'll add you to the list and ask that you mail me a check. This is the best method if you want to bypass the electronic payment processing fee from myautoevents.com.

Email: don@bobsdonuts.com for any questions.

Just had to post the grandpa Toyota. IT proves that if this old car can do it, our late 90s+ cars will have no problem.

BTW, yes it is the original motor and an automatic. lol

EDIT: more reason to go...

Maybe Castro can answer that, but I think it's per person that's going to be driving or something like that.

whoops, sorry guys. Been out partying and just got back home. lol

Simon, come with us. Trust me, its not hard at all. My girlfriend started out just being a passenger, to cruising the track "parade" style, asking me to sit passenger and give her tips on how to take the fastest racing-line, and currently, spinning out my car because she's too crazy and cuts the apex corners. Its a lot of fun.

$165 is per car. You can load up your car with as much people as you want and they can all drive on the track. You can even bring your car in just to watch with no fee. the $165 is to allow your car on the track itself. Its a little inflated since now it includes Breakfast and BBQ lunch compared to potluck style of before.

Helmets are sometimes rented out, but trust me, its like sharing underwear.... you dont wanna do it unless you gotta. I personally dont like people using my helmet because its closed face and I once got it back nice and sweaty :( My cousin is gonna be bringing his tC out there for the first time. Bone stock. Im helping him search for a helmet, and they have nice bargains on ebay.

Mine personally cost me $260 shipped-Pyrotech brand. But on ebay, just get one that has a SNELL2000 rating. You can use a motorcycle helmet (lower snell rating) but I chose to invest in an expensive one since ill be able to use it for years to come. In about 1-2years they will no longer allow motorcycle helmets for auto use.

Difference in auto vs motocycle helmets: (main diff)

Auto: not as aerodynamic, fire proof
Moto: Shatter resistant up to xxx g's, not fire proof

If you guys got anymore questions feel free to ask.

Hotel-Simon, if you wanna come, you can get in on the hotel room sharing with us to reduce costs. Thats what most of the guys do there. (ive seen a 1 (2)bed room might have up to 7 guys sharing. lol

Laps: from 8am till about 11-12 (whenever the drivers get a hang of sharing the track / knowing the rules) then its split into 2-3 run groups consisting of XX cars for 30min windows. When people get settled, they do open track where anyone can be on the track anytime and no car count limit till the end of the day 5pm. Its stupid fun because you can set up mini races and play cat/mouse chasing games initial D style.

We start at 7:00am exact and cars are out on the track by 8:00am.
7-8am --> drivers meeting to discuss rules etc / prep your cars, unload your crap at the pit area

Yeah its a lot of fun. Everyone should take advantage of this since other tracks such as thunderhill or infineon ask upwards of $250.00 and it doesnt include food or unlimited track time. This is a great offer for track time. Even if you werent gonna take your car there, admission to be among the drivers and in the pit area just to watch is free. Hey... if you get lucky, you can ask someone to ride passenger... or even drive their car. :)
