Racing Hart Quality?

Racing Hart Quality?

Postby hari-bhari » Thu Oct 12, 2006 10:43 am

Are racing hart rims considered to be of good quality and strong? I am currently looking to get a set of c5 evos. Any opinions? Does the lip make the wheel looks smaller?

the lip will makes the wheel look smaller than a wheel with no lip.

Hey guys! I know I'm new to the forum, but I have experience with Racing Hart Evos. I have Racing Hart C2's for my Accord. They are very good quality and I really like their style. I haven't had any problems with the rims being dented from potholes. However, I if the place you're driving around has a lot of potholes, I wouldn't recommend anything lower than a 45 profile tire. I have size 40 profile tires on mine and hit a pothole, my tire got ruined (a bump appeared on the side wall & the tire shops will tell you to replace the tire and make sure the tire is inflated to recommended level at all times & don't drive in potholes....lol. I guess that goes with any rim/tires out there. Yes, the lip does make the rim look smaller, I'd say get 18's at the smallest. But then again, only my opinion.

I have had RH C5 evo on my car prior to the Solara. They were 18's and 40 series tires. They were too low profile for our roads as they showed a lot of damage from pot holes. On the Solara I have C2 Evo's because the C5 were discontinued for a couple years due to quality problems I was told. The C2 look great though they are 17's with 45 series (I currently have 225 45 17 Yokohama Advan Neova tires) and have had no problem what so ever with pot holes. That's one reason I like the 17's, also because in tire and wheels performance comparisons they have found that the ultimate size Vs. performance is 17's when comparing 15 - 19 inch wheels. 17's have the least weight towards the perimeter while maintaining the same outer diameter which makes for best accelleration. The overall weight of RH wheels is very low compared to other brands for their price-point. So you do get a good wheel for the money as well.

Bigger wheels do look better, but when you out-accellerate the guy in the lane next to you, all he sees is your rear end anyway!

The cops around here are real butt-holes and since the C2 don't look too flashy they maintain a lower profile that way too, but the wide rim does make them look smaller.

BTW, the Advan Neova's are awsome if you are choosing a tire. They wear out fast but grip is unreal.

A few of my buddies who have RH like em, but they all have dents.

They're running 40-45 series tires, the outer lip is dented.

But if you're careful enough, it shouldn't be a problem.

If you're going with 18s, you can definitely get them below 2k.
The C5s at www.e-wheelz.com are $1495 w/ free shipping, but its on 215/25/18. i'm sure you can get bigger tires with em.

Try Enkei or 5zigen, both good quality wheels at a resonable price.

this what i know:

REAL C5 has been discountinue for a long time, like 3 or 4 years?

RH Evo is the cheaper not exactly Racing Hart and i dont think it was made in japan. in fact even dazz dont call the line Racing Hart Evolution. the brand name is actually RH evolution.

i also found this thread upon search
