Temp Fix Solution! Strut-Spring Noise Problem

wow this is absolutely ridiculous..... Milt if you have the answer to this f***ing problem how much money do you want becasue this sh*t is pissin me off that I would pay you (which is sad) to help me fix this problem with my car. I dont' want to do any damage to the car/strut mount anymore than I might have already. If I was on the west coast I would drive and pay u money to fix it but you know what I am In NORTHERN MOTHERF**KING VIRGINIA so thats not possible. Seriously bro f*ckin pm me. This forum is some sh*t if ppl don't help others out. wtf is the purpose of it to sell sh*t??? Lightear and Kenny props to you two especially on TRYING to fix this shituation. Milt get at me man.

Ok redid the washers. Didn't have time to take pictures. Rubber washer's a bad idea cause they were stripping and wearing out bad ( i knew it was gonna happen newayz). I'm using three rubber and a single zinc washer. Still no sound, but I don't like this solution, but some people like it.

The real solution to solving this with out adding anything still remains a mystery to a lot of people. Milt...I would love you to fix my car, but that's only gonna happen if you respond to my pm's. I lost your number bro. Let me know.

This weekend I had some time this weekend to try and fix the noise we're all hearing. So I took it all apart keeping in mind all the ideas that have been tried. I thought I had pinned down the problem. So I put everything back together and took it for a test drive only to find a louder more frequent noise. I drove it to school and to work and at about 10:30 PM I parked the car in the driveway backwards so the majority of the weight was sitting on the front tires. I thought I would try and torque down the screw that binds down the strut mount to the strut thinking maybe the strut had settled a bit. The bolt was completely tight but I think the whole shock actually turned about a quarter turn. Well I didn't drive it untill this morning only to find, absolutely no noise. The only downside is, anatomically, I don't exactly know what I did or how long it will stay silent. Just thought I would let you guys know, even though I don't know exactly how I fixed it, maybe one of you more automotive savy guys can figure out how I fixed it. If you guys have any questions let me know and I will do my best to answer them.

Oka, I just tried working on Lightear's car... and unfortunately it did not work.... The struts do have a problem...


But on a good note, his rubber technique does seem effective.

Sam pick up that strut from Mark, I already called him and he said he has another one, do not forget.
