hello, all -- as of last weekend i am the owner of a 1999 solara sle in diamond white pearl with tan leather interior and the woodgrain dash kit, sold to me by my parents who purchased it brand new (and it was mostly used by my mom as a runabout). they made me a deal i couldn't refuse because they just got a new camry, and my commute was demanding something more reliable and economical than the camaro i've been driving. it's in immaculate shape inside and out, and i love it thus far.

it's bone stock aside from the k&n air filter.

anyway, i just wanted to make an official "hello!" i hope to learn more about the car and its potential through this site.

well, first and foremost, the air bag light is on, so i need to have that looked into! thankfully the mechanic at the dealership has always been straight with my family (a good thing, as we all know how dealerships can be).

as far as modifications go, i'd like to stiffen the suspension a bit as it's a good bit cushier than i'm accustomed to (combined with it being a narrower car with a higher center of gravity). perhaps when it needs new shocks i'll go with something different in that department. not sure whether or not (and to what extent) i'd want it lowered just yet.

if i were made of money i'd get a supercharger! :D

A s/c would be a great and fun addition! But, definately work on the suspension (springs, struts, swaybar) - it really needs it.
