uh if i was driving drunk and didnt want to go to jail i too would be saying no hablo and i have no licensia (illegals are not the only ones afraid of calling la policia). Nobody is getting offended for just talking about illegal immigrants, i just dont like it when people generalize about all of them... i am one that believes a lot of them should be sent back for many reasons, but the majority are actually good people (not just referring to Mexicans cause I am one - here in GA i know people from Ethiopia, China, South America, etc) but just reading your last comments above really show me the ignorance on your part. I didn't want to come here and offend you, on the contrary I was trying to wish you well, but based on what you are saying, it shows NO proof he was illegal. Any person under the influence, illegal or not, does not want to get arrested (assuming they are not mentally insane) and it's just wrong for you to generalize like that. I still hope you have better luck finding the guy and getting your car fixed.

I believe in most states to obtain a drivers license you need to provide a social security number which would require you being a citizen. She should have asked for his driver's license and registration and held onto it until the cops came. p.p.s. she said this happened 3 months ago, you're SOL even with your own insurance company. He WAS illegal. The customers were harassing me at the taco shack saying why you gotta call police hes gonna get deported and a bunch of other crap. A lot of crap happened that night.. it wasnt a 10 minute ordeal obviously. there were many things that CLEARY PROVED to me that he was an illegal even before the customers talked to me. there were many details that happened that i left out whcih i find no point in restating here JUST TO PROVE TO YOU THAT HE WAS A FUKKIN ILLEGAL. but that was not the point of my post.. i just wanted to say that i got hit and how it came down that i got screwed in the end. STOP TURNING MY POST INTO A DEBATE OVER RACE.. he was IN FACT AN ILLEGAL..he happened to speak spanish and i know you probably do to from your screen name get over it. Its not about you or any race.

As a former Mesa, AZ. resident, I will tell you that MOST mexicans in that area are ILLEGAL, which would represent a frighteningly large portion of the US Hispanic population. And yes, they like to party and drive drunk. I have full coverage insurance, and I rarely drive after gettin' sauced. But if I did, at least I have the means to try to repay someone for any damages I cause 'em.

As a victim several times myself of illegals while in AZ, I can say this lady is not ignorant. Also, I've been going thru alot lately to LEGALLY immigrate to the US. Absolutely NO ONE has the right to be here illegally, EVER.

My dad has lived here for more than 10 years and he still ain't a citizen (long story) while my mom, brother, and me are American citizens.

It would be way unfair if some body just came from other countries without going through the process. I know some of the illegal citizens' situations back home are tough but that doesn't justify their actions since that is a whole different story.

have you tried to contact painless dent remover to get an estimate to repair? there are expensive way to fix this and there is also a cheap way to fix this. But from the picture looks like they can bang the dent back, however, i believe your bumper reinforcement is bented and need to replace and your rear frame might had slight off. you will need to bring it to a frame shop to have it checked and straighten. good luck

ya that sucks. I guess....live and learn. maybe you could have followed him and called the cops on your cell...but its a moot point now.

If I were you, there is no way i would have been able to wait 3 months to call the cops back. Id be on their ass every day until they got sick of me...then they might do something.

The thought of what happened to you (happened to me, hit and run, but the cops were suprisingly very very helpful) makes me furious.

My sister's car was hit and run, we had plates and make/model/color of vehicle yet cops did absolutely nothing.

If I had the time I considered going to the DMV and paying to get the adress of the owner of that vehicle and pay them a visit/their vehicle. Maybe a new set of tires would have set them straight.

this happen to my me once some guy hit the back of our van and said the same thing i dont got insurance license ext claiming he just moved here and it wasnt his car we called the cops next thing you know the guy pulls out all the info license ext when the cops arrived i was like wtf!!!!!!

well im glad everything settled down and now we can all laugh at borats expense..

thanks to everyone who showed their concern. it was a serious car accident that just seemed to get worse and worse by the minute.. what seemed like a little bump turned out to be one of the most stressful times of my life. everything is ok now.. i got it all fixed (it took a verryy looong 7 days to do) but the car is LOOKING better than before. i received a new bumper, a new paint job, and the side dent that i did myself was popped back out and the alignment is ok now. the only difference is now i have to slam the door really hard in order for it to close and when im driving on the freeway i can hear the wind on the drivers side as if the windows are open.. very annoying! i agree that i should start bugging the cops but just thinking about it gets me all frustrated again. i guess that im just really happy that its all over with and that i was not injured. he couldve been a real jerk and just knocked me out and took off!
