Anyone know if I can stop my brakes from squeeling under light braking pressure? Its not horrible but t is definitely noticeable. Still has the original brake pads that it came from the dealer installed..

How many miles? You sure they don't need replacing?

I had the same problem, my older friends couldn't even hear what I was talking about. But it was pretty annoying with the windows down and the stereo off.

So I took all 4 sets of brakes off, inside and outside pads, used a metal brush to clean them. Sprayed them with an air compressor hose. No luck, still squeel.

This time I was more serious. So I did the same as before, but then I put some blue RSV gasket maker in between the pad and the shim for all pads. This made it better, but still I can hear it.

Screw it, I bought a new stereo system and I never hear it anymore. BTW the pads had >60% left on them, probably 80% when they first started acting up.

Same problem here. I have 32,000 but I have a good 5-10k miles left on them.

Anyone have any experience with ceramics? How are they with brake dust and noise?
