What " Interesting Things" have you learned about

I NEVER let a Valet take my car! I'd rather park 5 blocks away than let some idiot behind the wheel of my ride!!

I do wish the center console was lockable like it was on my Tundra, though - just in case. :(

I wonder if they changed this again in Gen 2.5?

In the '07 the trunk can be locked by the release lever with the key.

Trunk will not open using remote when key is in ignition. Gary, you beat out by a year for oldest Solara Guy so far ( first legal year of driving), don't forget to eat your fiber everyday. Congrats.

Ilearned that if you have the Nav system and turn the radio off, you don't need to push the power button to turn it back on, just push whatever you want to listen to: AM-Sat, FM or disc and it will turn on to that. It only took someone holding a 24" pizza box in the passengers seat to discover it. I couldn't figure out why it wouldn't stay off :D
When in doubt gas it out, brakes just slow you down.

I learned that people like to read the first page of threads and not the three other to find the answer to thier question 5 posts back...

I also learned that for god knows why you can rip out the cup holders and whole center console with no tools by hand. Good place to stash things from the valet.

Learned this the hard way yesterday morning..

If you leave the trunk open (to dry out because i hauled some wet bags of mulch home in it) and the headlights are on "AUTO" and physically on, because the trunk is open, the delay will not turn them off until the battery runs out. Oops. Won't do that again.

Just found this out while driving down I-5 in the middle of the night... you know how the steering wheel buttons light up?

Well, the driver's side window down button also lights up... the word "Auto"...

Had this car for almost two and a half years and never noticed it...

Even without the Nav system, an off radio can be turned on by hitting the band you want to listen to on the SLE with JBL system.
