you can go to www.crutchfield.com and select your car. after that, you can email one of their "experts" with any concern you have (brand, changer compatible, etc) and he will email you back with good choices. If you are looking for a perfect fit double din, don't go there... they only have a handful avail. however, if you do get a single din from them, they give you the equipment to make it fit in the dbl din slot
1GR-FE ftw!

If you can get a good deal from crutchfield, or you don't mind paying a few pennies more, crutchfield is the way to go. Great service and their techs really know what they are doing.

I usually pick out a cd player i like there and then buy it online from ebay or a few other sites. Personally I really like the pioneer Deh-P7400MP or the Premeir DEH-P740MP. I believe www.sounddomain.com has it for $229. The premeir is the better model. You can also check ebay for prices.

crutchfield is a good place to find what u need but a horrible place to buy from. very expensive. Most of there stuff is going for over 100 more then on ebay! ebay is the way to go once you find what u want.

Their amazing service comes at a premium. Sometimes their prices are pretty competitive. I buy all of my wiring accessories and face plate kits from there. Full tech support incase anything goes wrong, and they really are amazing.

If you don't have a high tech level, they'll walk you through the install, so in some ways it could be worth it. Plus they give you full in detail instructions on how to install it

Clarion DXZ835MP is a very nice MP3 unit. That is what I have my car now. I think I paid around 270 for it off Ebay.

Postby 70weeks » Mon Mar 24, 2003 3:27 pm

Just installed a CDX-565MXRF FM modulator CD/MP3 Changer over the weekend.

It sounds great.

I got it from www.ikesound.com for $165 +$15 shipping.

i just copied my reply from another thread:

--
i just got the Pioneer DEH-P7400MP for 200 dollars and I love it. It is a great head unit. The only problems I have with it are a somewhat slower loading time with mp3s (not too bad) and naviation could be alittle easier/faster, but I guess i'm just used to my RioVolt portable mp3 cd player. My best bet is just running the cd on random and not messing with it.

also, I wouldn't recommend buying from crutchfield, way overpriced (if you don't need the tech service), look at ikesound.com
