I can sympathize with you man, I had someone run a key down my door as well... along with being run into the back of a tractor trailer truck just 6 months after I got the car, and having some random fubar-beyond-fubar-in-a-lunar-fubar recently run into my car in a parking spot and leave... Numerous other events have occured as well that I'll leave alone...

People see something nice, get jealous and do things out of spite... It's sickening, but we can't really do much about it... I agree with others, karma will have it's way.

Knock on wood - but so far I've been lucky I guess...

Might be that I live in an area where people don't look twice at my ride - I've probably got the cheapest POS on the block! :o

Why don't people respect other people's sh!t? We all pay for the car one way or the other, and if your broke azz gotta take the bus or you're just jealous because you drive a beaten-up Ford Festiva and can't stand the sights of a well-maintained Meguiar's NXT treated car, it's not my problem.

Anyway, I've seen people scratch up my car RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY FACE, so I hope you get justice. Even though I hated the car in question (my SenCrap), it still makes my blood boil to this day -- especially if I was preparing to get rid of the car and just detailed it a week ago to boost its Bluebook value.

Dude, that sucks.

I said it once and I will say it again: PARK FAR AWAY.

You might think that you only drive a toyota, but most of us on this board care more about our solaras than most do about their BMWs and Mercedes.

Try parking out of the way (not out of the light though) near a big lamp post or something. No fool is going to make a special trip across the parking lot to stand under a spotlight and kick your car.

I would hope that people in Montreal have more class! ;)

Parking farther away only brings attention to your ride and you're more likely to be targeted by assholes!

I did that once when I had a new turbo Scirocco (long, long time ago!) ;) and parked it way out away when I went to dinner with a friend. We came out it was dark and the car was gone! (I thought) and in its place was a big brand new 4x4 Chevy truck. I ran out there to see if maybe my car was on the other side of the truck then I saw that the asshole had PUSHED my car out of its spot and down over the bank into the lot below!

Well - the SMART thing would have been to call the cops and sue his A$$ but I was young and the rage was so strong that while my buddy was fishing my car out of the bushes I took it out on this jerk's truck. By the time my buddy brought the car around to pick me up, I had managed to kick-in every straight panel on that truck, jumped on the hood and top, ripped off both mirrors and beat his windows in with them. Luckily, nobody saw and I didn't have plates on my car yet so no way to track me down - except maybe finger prints, but I don't have a file! ;)

Yeah - not proud of it now, but like I said - I was young and stupid. ;) But I hope the clown got the message not to screw with someone else's ride ever again!

Just thinking about it makes my blood boil even to this day.

trdkamuri51o wrote:what theatre did u go to??? and how come we never see ya at the meets lol!!!

this was the AMC at emeryville... of all places emeryville!

guys check this out... so i told my friends about what happend last night. my friends brother's friend use to work at the AMC. he always park there in that parking lot. like 2 months ago he got jumped by these guys, stole his keys, took all his speakers, H/U, everything out of his car. this was all under survallence. and they still couldnt catch the guys that fuked him up. a month before that... he saw people jumping on other peoples cars caving in thier roofs and all that crazy sh!t... never going back to that spot again.

im telling you guys... you can take the guy out of the ghetto... but you will never take the ghetto out the guy...

Yup... I've only had my 07 Convertible for a couple of weeks, and it already has a good sized door ding. I think most of the time, it's not vandals, just stupid f**ks not paying attention. I've had other cars hit with shopping carts and doors opened into them when I was sitting in them! They always act like it's no big deal..... Just watch people throw open their doors without looking in parking lots.

And it's not just dirtbags or kids. A year or two ago, I watched a 50 something old lady, in a nice car, back into a guy's car and break his tail light. She got out, checked her car, and then started to leave. I blocked her in, and made her leave her info on the guys car, (along with mine).

At least I got my new plates today. I swear, having the paper plates from a new car just encourages the a**holes to key it.

As far as the revenge stuff... I admit as a youngster to getting some payback for damage to my cars.......

Good for you, Elmer! There's a 'Good Citizen Award' with your name on it in heaven

I still have my paper plates - and I agree, they're a target. I park far away, too, but am having 2nd thoughts after reading PXL's post
It's not a good thing that there's no body side molding on these cars - but I know, it would ruin the sleek lines, right??

I luckily havent had any issues, I always try to park next to a more expensive car. Someone with a nice car tends to be a little more carefull. Or it could just be that there arent that many a-holes where i live.
