How to remove rear headrests

Postby 4Runner4Christ » Wed Aug 23, 2006 8:52 pm

My wife wants to remove the rear headrests for better visibility, but I cant see how they come off the top of the back seats. Anyone know how I can get them off without breaking something? thanks a lot!

They are permanent in the convertible.... The actual roll bars go through them.

Several months ago, someone posted a picture with the rear seat and headrest covers removed. The image showed the internal roll bars that are in the headrest. You might try a search to find the posting.

it kind of makes me wonder why they'd make the headrests so big in the convertible..

Rear head rests

Interesting that the '07s have a donut hole in them for better visibility... from these pics, it sure appears that they could've done the same thing with our 'older' models!!!

The donut hole is small, but ANYTHING helps!
