TailLight Bulbs

I read that the bulbs in our tails are 3157. I don't like how the rear is amber, so I was thinking about putting in a red LED light instead, and possibly putting a HyperWhite Bulb in the Reverse Light. Any comments? Will the LEDs fit? As far as I know, no one else has done or thought of this, so I figured it would be original...

I wouldn't put LED bulbs because your "Bulb Malfunction Indicator Light" will stay on because of the low voltage it draws. The computer will just think a light is out because of the low draw. This is the case for any of the bulbs in your rear taillight assembly (brake, turn and reverse).

Think about it, if you put a hyperwhite bulb in your reverse light...how often are you gonna look at it? And how long do you think you stay in reverse to light up those bulbs? Probably less than 30 seconds total each time you drive your car.
