I hear low ticking noise and I can feel it on 2004 Highlander.
It happends only when steering to left.

Maybe its related to the problems your guys are having?

The dealer's driver delivered our '07 Solara to us on Wednesday evening, after reporting that they found two bolts in the upper steering shaft that had not been torqued down during assembly at the factory. I drove the car around a bit; looking for bumps, RR tracks, etc., and lo and behold - no rattling!!! It looks like the problem has been fixed.

Kudos to Jim Hudson Toyota in Columbia (Irmo) SC for minimizing the inconvenience to the greatest extent they could. Kudos also to our aquaintance from Southeast Toyota Distributors, LLC for making a few well-placed phone calls that seemed to grease the skids.

We've had our '07 Solara SLE convertible for 2 1/2 weeks, and today we took it back to the dealer; a clunking / rattling in the steering column. They have to replace the steering shaft. Service Advisor indicated that the '06 Solara and Camry both had a TSB on this, but this was the first '07 they'd seen with the same problem.

Anyone else had to have the intermediate steering column replaced? Did that take care of the problem?

Starting to review the Lemon Laws for our state.... hope I don't need them...

Hmmm...I hear and feel a 'clunk' when I shift from Park into Reverse (I always have my foot on the brake), whether I release the parking brake before I shift or not. Has anyone else had a problem with this? I only have 2500 miles on my '06 SLE vert, but have only had it for a little over 3 weeks...there was 1900 miles on it when I bought it.

I haven't had that problem, but you know, the person who drove it before you could have driven it roughly. it's probably some simple transmission problem. I'd take it in and have them look at it before it gets worse.

Sometimes it's a little difficult for me to shift into reverse from park, but I maily attribute that the the shifting pattern.
